Hutto Electric Utility Incentives

These electric utility rebates come from the power company that owns the transmission lines, the power plants, and the electric meter that services your home.  They do not come from your retail provider.  For more details about the incentives below, fill out the form on the right.  One of Stan’s ‘Whole House” Experts will be able to tell you if you qualify.

  • Distributor Rebate Program (up to $850): This program offers cash incentives for replacing or installing new air conditioning and heating systems with high efficiency systems on existing homes.  Qualifying equipment must meet Energy Star minimum efficiency levels.
  • Home Performance with Energy Star (up to $1500): Requirements for participation are:  1.) any window which receives more than one hour of summer sun must be shaded by a solar screen, reflective window film, or replaced with high performance windows;  2.) the air distribution system (ductwork) must be in good condition and sealed below 20% leakage;  3.) attic walls adjacent to living areas must be insulated and secured, openings through and between floors must be blocked off, and the attic floor insulation must be upgraded to R38 if the existing insulation is below R22;  4.) exterior doors must be weather stripped and plumbing penetrations and major leakage points sealed.  If at least three of these items are performed in conjunction with replacing an air conditioning and heating system, you will also receive air conditioning and heating rebates ranging from $250 to $450, plus a bonus rebate of $200.
