System Maintenance and Performance Checks

Would you drive your car all year without regular service?  Should you do the same to your air conditioning and heating system?  In the Central Texas climate, your Heating and A/C unit runs an average of about 3000 hours per year, an extremely costly appliance to run.  A blowout of any one of the expensive parts at a crucial time can leave you uncomfortable and out a good deal of money.

A/C and Heating units, like cars, need regular preventative maintenance.

Stan’s is proud to offer the most cost effective and the most extensive maintenance service in Central Texas.  We have three different kinds of services to meet varied needs.

A/C Performance Check: We offer this service to those who want to evaluate the condition and performance of their A/C system, ductwork, and attic insulation.  Our technicians will perform an essential 10 point checklist and explain the results.  This checklist addresses the following issues:

Outdoor Unit

  • 1.  Check condition of outdoor unit  (visual inspection), check for clogs, dirt, insects, and debris.
  • 2.  Check refrigerant charge.
  • 3.  Check mechanical components— capacitor, contactor, and fan motor.
  • 4.  Check electrical consumption.

Indoor Unit

  • 5.  Check thermostat operation.
  • 6.  Check blower condition.
  • 7.  Check filter and effectiveness.
  • 8.  Check overall airflow and cooling output.

Attic Section

  • 9.  Check ductwork condition
  • 10. Check insulation effectiveness.
